Today’s ‘balance’ tip is all about noticing nature. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of life, but if you are in a bit of a funk or feeling stressed out to the max, take notice of the nature that surrounds you. You are bound to lower your blood pressure, calm your body, appreciate more, even learn a lesson or two.
And, what you notice in nature actually holds a mirror up to what is within you already! Twenty people may look at the same view, and each see something completely different. You can discover much about yourself, just by looking at the world around you. Not only is it soothing to watch a bird fly, to smell a flower, to stare at a starry sky, but it is also a way to learn a bit about ourselves.
“Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the sea, are excellent schoolmasters, and teach some of us more than we can ever learn from books.“ ~ John Lubbock
Spend time today noticing something in nature. Whether it’s looking at the blades of grass, noticing the shape of the clouds, smelling the raindrops, take a moment or two to learn something from what you see in the miraculous world around you.
I never really thought about what I noticed in nature – thank you for this inspiring post.
