I so enjoy oatmeal and prepare it tons of different ways, both savory and sweet, and of course, straight-up plain oatmeal is fantastic, too.
I had a client tell me she hated oatmeal no matter how it’s prepared. Always up for a challenge, and a “No Excuses!” person, I told her I would gather some alternative ways to prepare it and would post it on my blog. Sure enough, I found tons to sift through and taste.
I narrowed it down to 5 unique ways to prepare oatmeal:
This is a yummy dessert-like “intro to oatmeal” for those who aren’t as keen on the texture- Baked Oatmeal with Yogurt and Fresh Fruit from Aszi Child:

Then there this Soaked Oatmeal Recipe from Nourished Kitchen that oozes ‘natural’. Eating something so earthy automatically makes you feel like you’ve connected more and done something good for your body. Plus, the raisins and cinnamon add just the right sweetness.
And, if you are really not in the mood for oatmeal, preparing it in a shake is always a rich, creamy way to go. This Blueberry Maple Smoothie from Closet Cooking has all of the antioxidants from the berries and health benefits of the oats, and tastes like a total treat:
