Yesterday the kiddos and I wanted to spruce up the porch with a little more Halloween décor. I just picked up a huge pack of Halloween papers from A.C Moore, on sale for just $5, and thought it might be fun to make a little banner to hang across the entryway.
Making homemade pennant banners is super simple, as I learned from making one for my little man’s birthday last May {side note: he had a baseball party, and I wanted a banner for the “concession stand”}. So, I knew this would be a blast and a breeze for us all!! I love homemade stuff, but I’m no Martha Stewart, so this is just the way I like my crafting 😉
First, I made a template for the pennant in Microsoft Word, using 2 triangles. You can download the pennant template here.
Then I just stapled the template to a stack of an array of colorful Halloween papers {staple all 4 corners to make cutting a breeze}. And cut away! A few minutes later, we had a bunch of triangles ready to go!!
My kiddos hole punched the corners and we threaded them together with some twine {everyone pitched in on the placement, too}, and we ended up with this super simple DIY Halloween Banner:
LuLu and the Little Man could hardly wait to hang it up!!
Now, our next go round, Lu wants to make fabric banners!!! I will keep you posted on that one!!
