As you may know, I am a total foodie, especially when it comes to natural, healthy foods and refreshing drinks. I love to add a bit of whimsy to the kitchen, and use my creativity and imagination.

So…I am giving a big YAY!! YAY!! YAY!! to Silkologist, Bryan Dayton – every single one of the drinks on the Silkology Facebook page make my mouth water.

I took on the task of creating my own twist on one of his drink recipes. Normally, I am a bit of a chocoholic, so the Chocola-di-da sounds delectable and the Chocolate Nutty Kiss looks divine.

But, lately I’ve been thinking a lot about bees thanks to this quote by Mary Kay Ash:

“Aerodynamically, the bumble bee shouldn’t be able to fly, but the bumble bee doesn’t know it so it goes on flying anyway.”

And, so, when I went to find some inspiration for my drink, the Honey Kiss was calling my name. Of course, The Silkologist in me wanted to spice it up a bit – here’s my take on it:

What I Used:

1 cup Silk Vanilla Soymilk
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon honey
½ teaspoon raw coconut sugar
1 teaspoon wheat germ
3 drops pure almond extract
3 blueberries

So So Easy:

I just mixed all of the ingredients up in a shaker with ice, strained it down into a nice tall glass, and sealed it off with 3 plump blueberries. Simple. Healthy. Oh-So-Delicious.

I think tomorrow I’ll try my hand at the Ginger Refresher. Yum!

Silk inspired me to think outside of the bowl with their new Silkology-inspired drink recipes. Tell me something new you want to try this summer when entertaining to win a Silkology prize package.
