In a world where we can airbrush away our physical flaws with the click of a button, or we can virtually create a persona of “having it all”, it’s kind of ironic that the facade of perfection actually holds us back – stops us from connecting, blocks us from reaching our full potential, prevents us from being our most joyful self!
The truth of the matter is, our imperfections make us beautiful. After all, the cracked pot shines the most light.
So, here’s my thought for today – give up being perfect. Release the worry of a perfect appearance, keeping it together, having all of your ducks in a row. Drop some balls. Express how you actually feel. Be vulnerable. Recognize yourself in every person you meet. Share your dreams, hopes, fears.
Do something completely silly. Laugh out loud. Make a mistake, not on purpose, but simply because to err is human. Trust in God that there is a lesson to learn. Turn your spell check off and choose not to edit your perfectly imperfect life, even just for a moment. Your light will shine brilliantly…
Don’t you feel absolutely ‘weightless’ just thinking about it?! How will you flaunt your flaws and celebrate your imperfections today?

Very helpful!! It’s good to be reminded that being unique is beautiful. That embracing our flaws helps us connect and experience more on this journey called life 🙂
Thanks, Pat!! Absolutely, we connect more when we aren’t self-conscious or focusing on our own flaws!! Our beauty is in our unique imperfections!!
