I’m sure you have “back-burner” items that you’d like to get done, but haven’t had or made the time to do. Back-burner items are energy drainers, because we think about them, but are not doing anything to complete them. Many clients tell me they’d like to create a blog, or call an old friend, or send out a newsletter, or fix something in their home, or set up a facebook account (you get my drift), but just haven’t done it. Well, there’s no time like the present…
Take an hour to dump everything out of your head and put it on paper. Write your ‘wish’ list, your back-burner thoughts down. You may want to prioritize them. Estimate how much time each would take to complete, and if there is regular maintenance involved. Remember, this is your life, so you can create your schedule that works best for you. Then, when you plan your day, you can simply fit these into your schedule one-by-one. Isn’t it so much fun to get things done?
